Corrections

Corrections

Accurate local information changes. Help us correct errors with a source and a clear explanation.

What to send

Include the page URL, the wording or factual detail that is wrong, the correct information and a source that can be checked. For a business listing, an authorised representative should explain their relationship to the organisation.

What happens next

We review the evidence, update the page when appropriate and may note a material correction. A correction request does not guarantee removal of accurate, public-interest reporting.

Safety and privacy

Do not publish private personal information in a correction request. Contact us directly if the issue involves safety or sensitive data.

Accuracy

Clear evidence makes corrections faster

Report the exact page, the statement you believe is wrong and the information that should replace it. Include an official, first-party or otherwise credible source where possible. A disagreement with tone is not automatically a factual error, but it can still be reviewed.

Simple errors such as a broken link or mistyped date can be corrected quickly. Material disputes may require contact with the relevant organisation or person. During review, we may add a note, remove a time-sensitive claim or leave the wording unchanged if the available evidence does not support an amendment.

Corrections do not provide a route to erase accurate public-interest information or convert an independent profile into promotional copy. Significant editorial changes may be noted on the page.

If new evidence later changes the position, submit it. The aim is an accurate and useful record, not winning an argument.
